La Cocina is launching a new initiative to help low-income San Francisco residents create sustainable mobile food businesses. Given popularity and low start-up costs, mobile food presents an incredible opportunity for low-income entrepreneurs to improve their economic situation while uplifting our community.

La Cocina will provide program participants low-cost food trailer leases, access to mobile vending sites, and technical expertise. $5000 will help La Cocina operate the mobile food vending program for one full year.

About La Cocina

La Cocina cultivates low-income food entrepreneurs as they formalize and grow their businesses by providing affordable commercial kitchen space, industry specific technical assistance, and access to market opportunities. We focus primarily on women from communities of color and immigrant communities. La Cocina envisions that entrepreneurs will become economically self-sufficient and contribute to a vibrant economy doing what they love to do.
